Our small Arizona town has many, many tumbleweeds. On more than one occasion, we've found ourselves playing chicken with a giant tumbleweed that has blown into the road and is directly in our path. Sometimes when you move into the other lane to bypass it, it starts up again and scrapes down the side of your car. I came across this scary little video made in Midland, Texas with a guy plowing through tons of tumbleweeds. His vehicle must be scraped and scratched all over.
Saturday afternoon we went to the casino for a little while. It is hard to find a machine that we can play anymore because we are such cheap gamblers. My son-in-law tests software for a company that makes slot machines and he says the machines are set up to mostly pay out big when people bet max. I continue to try to find a penny slot machine that I can bet five or ten lines at one penny each. Yesterday, I had a very good day doing that. I put in my twenty dollar bill, which is all I allow myself to wager, and I got up to $96 at one point. I played it down to $90 and cashed out. That was fun.
Yesterday I practiced my "art of recovery" from a really bad day on Saturday and that is a good thing.
I decided to count both points and calories this week as I have not done that in a very long time. Yesterday I ended the day at 25 points and 1165 calories. They were also good, healthy points/calories which is important. No junk in there whatsoever.
I have my Silver Sneakers class this morning so I'm off to make a smoothie and then get ready to leave.
